We currently have an opportunity for a PRN Medical Assistant to join our team in Philadelphia , PA .

Position Summary:

Perform medical front administrative office duties (answering phone, scheduling, data entry, filing, order supplies)
Assist NP and RN as needed with back office medical and nursing routines
Conduct patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking schedules and organizing patient flow; collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc; collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting nurse practitioner/physician/nurses with various procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients; answering calls and providing pertinent information
Fulfill environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: setting up equipment according to department protocols, cleaning exam/procedure rooms, and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms.

Requirements:

This position requires an MA with at least 2 years experience in a primary care or occupational health setting. This individual should be flexible, self-motivated, dedicated to quality patient care and customer satisfaction. They should be able to think outside of the box, possess excellent communication skills, and work effectively in a team environment. Preferred candidates should be certified and have a CPR certification. Prior occupational health experience a plus.
